Will Brown and Hyundai on top of practice at Winton
Will Brown has laid down an early marker at Winton Raceway this morning, clocking the fastest time in the one and only practice session.
The young star, who this morning announced that he will compete in the first-ever S5000 race at Sandown on September 20-22, took his Hyundai i30 N to the fastest time, just ahead of Honda driver John Martin, Jason Bright (Volkswagen), James Moffat (Renault) and Andre Heimgartner (Holden).
There were two red flag periods after Leanne Tander (Audi) and Dylan O’Keeffe (Alfa Romeo) both bumped the wall at Turn 6. BOth cars sustained minor damage.
Qualifying will be held at 11:30am, followed by Race 1 at 2:20pm AEST.
