Panta Racing Fuels boss to attend TCR Australia test

Head of Panta Racing Fuel Luca Monico will attend the TCR Australia pre-season test day at Winton Motor Raceway this Wednesday.

Monico will meet with TCR promotor, the Australian Racing Group, as well as the TCR race teams and competitors during his visit where he will offer first hand technical information and support.

Monico is in Australia ahead of the FIM World Superbike Championship held at Phillip Island this weekend, where Panta is a fuel provider, including the exclusive fuel partner of the WSSP 300 class.

Panta Racing Fuel is once again TCR Australia’s control fuel following on from a successful inaugural season.

The company is also the naming-rights backer of the ‘Panta Cup’ for semi-professional drivers.

“To continue our partnership with TCR Australia is important for our business here in Australia, but also Panta and TCR in Europe,” says Panta Distribution Australia’s Cary Murphy.

“The addition of the Panta Cup in 2020 highlights the ongoing work behind the scenes to ensure we as a brand continue adding value to ARG.”

Panta Racing Fuel has long been associated with TCR. Globally, Panta’s FIA-approved RON 98 fuel is used exclusively in the WTCR, TCR Europe and multiple other TCR championships including the Spa TCR 500 endurance race.

“The Panta RON 98 race fuel has been developed specifically for elite motorsport categories, in particular TCR engines. We worked closely with the FIA in developing an oxygenated RON 98 fuel,” says Monico.

“We have a long standing relationship with TCR and the teams in Europe, so the opportunity to meet with ARG and in particular the racing teams is something I am looking forward to” says Monico.

ARG’s CEO Matt Braid says that he is looking forward to having Monico at the test, proving the company’s support of the under two litre racing category.

“It is a pleasure to welcome Luca back to Australia, and also to continue our partnership with Panta as the control fuel of the carsales TCR Australia Series in 2020,” said Braid.

“Our first year was a huge success and Panta’s experience in other international TCR Series helped us launch TCR in Australia by ensuring the Balance of Performance and reliability of the cars competing in our series was maintained at the same level as other high profile TCR Series around the world.”

The pre-season Winton test is open to the public. Track action starts at 9am.
