Dylan O’Keeffe unveils TCR Asia Pacific Cup colours

Dylan O’Keeffe has revealed the colour scheme for the Garry Rogers Motorsport Renault Megane RS he will campaign in this weekend’s TCR Asia Pacific Cup support races at the Australian Grand Prix.

The predominantly white colour scheme features red highlights, and is emblazoned with O’Keeffe’s race number for the weekend – #33 – a number that has been synonymous with the GRM outfit for many years.

O’Keeffe, who has completed two test days in the Renault in the lead-up to the event, is hoping his knowledge of the Albert Park circuit will be beneficial.

“I’ve raced at the AGP circuit every year since 2016 in Carrera Cup, so I know it well – this will allow us to hit the ground running, and work on fine-tuning the car setup straight away.

“We don’t have that much track time – a couple of 20-minute practice sessions and qualifying – so it will be critical to get on top of the car setup early. Fortunately, we’ve had a couple of productive test days at Sandown and Winton where we’ve already learned a lot about the Renault, so we should be able to dial in a solid base setup from the outset.”

According to O’Keeffe, a close relationship with his GRM crew will create a harmonious environment at the track.

“I work with my mechanic and engineer every day in the GRM workshop, and we have a lot of fun together – I’m looking forward to hanging with them at the track.

“We also have Richard Hollway working with us on car setup; having someone with his level of experience and success in the sport is a big positive for us.”

While the TCR Asia Pacific Cup races do not count as part of the TCR Australia Series, O’Keeffe is not expecting the races to be any less cut-throat.

“Everyone wants to show off their abilities in front of the Formula 1 crowd, and having no points on offer means that people might actually take more risks; I think it will be very exciting and competitive,” he said.

“The Grand Prix is always a fantastic event to race at, and I can’t wait for the weekend; it’s going to be big and exciting.”
